The Tyler ISD athletic department has created an athletic program that develops the whole person through education coupled with competition. We hope to stimulate a lasting attitude of discipline, sportsmanship, integrity, leadership, and social responsibility among our programs 3,500 athletes. Tyler promotes ethnic and cultural diversity within all its athletic programs. We insure equal opportunity for all staff and student-athletes, while making the programs themselves enduring sources of pride for the current student population, participating members, alumni, and community.

It is the desire and goal of this athletic department that we have a hand in the student’s successful transition to the next level of participation, not only athletically, but academically as well. Through the utilization of our highly qualified and dedicated coaching staff working together with our administrative personnel on both John Tyler and Robert E. Lee high schools as well as Stewart, Boulter, Dogan, Hubbard, Moore and Hogg middle schools, Tyler athletics will not only elevate the spirit, but engage the mind!
